Saving more than 400 million dollars in setting up the first platform of phase 11 of South Pars

The manager of South Pars phase 11 project of Petropars Company, while explaining the measures taken to exploit the last stage of development of the South Pars marine sector, announced the saving of more than 400 million dollars in setting up the first platform of this phase.

According to Roydad Naft News Agency Report, Ali Nadiran stated: In the first part of this project, the development, construction and commissioning of two well platforms each with the capacity to extract one billion cubic feet of sour gas per day, drilling of 24 wells in two offshore locations A and B, laying of two pipelines The 32-inch offshore pipeline is approximately 140 kilometers long, along with 4.5-inch monoethylene glycol injection pipelines and connection facilities to the South Pars Phase 12 refinery located in the Pars2 region (Kangan).

Pointing out that the first part of the development of this project is defined in two stages, he added: The first stage of the first part of the development of this project is the drilling and completion of four wells, the marine piping of the 32 and 4.5 inch pipeline with a length of 15 kilometers from Position 11B to the connection point to the existing pipeline 12C, dismantling of the 3,200 ton platform 12C from South Pars Phase 12, moving, installation, hook-up operation, pre-commissioning and commissioning of this platform at position 11B of South Pars Phase 11 has been completed.

The manager of the South Pars Phase 11 project of Petropars Company described the work of Petropars Company as the contractor and operator of the South Pars Phase 11 development project and continued: The development of this part of South Pars Phase 11 includes initiatives of the first experience in the country, such as the connection of a new pipeline. to the existing 12C pipeline on the seabed and the dismantling and relocation of the 12C heavy platform, all of which have been successfully completed.

Nadiran said: According to Petropars Company’s commitment to the National Iranian Oil Company and the Ministry of Petroleum, it was planned to start gas production from Phase 11 of South Pars by the end of August, but with the preparations and efforts made, the start-up operation started on the 11th of August, and two days later The wells of this position were put into operation.

Stating that the natural gas and gas condensates produced from platform 11B are being transferred to South Pars Phase 12 refinery, he said: By drilling and completing the rest of the wells in this location, platform 11B will eventually reach its full production capacity.

The manager of South Pars Phase 11 project of Petropars Company announced the cost of construction of a platform similar to the platform installed in the offshore position of South Pars Phase 11 to be 250 million dollars and said: by taking appropriate measures and moving and installing the platform in position 12C to 11B in addition to saving Time and filling the gap caused by the non-construction of the new platform, which takes about three years, the costs of this part of the development were reduced by $222 million and it was implemented at a cost of about $30 million.

Nadiran stated: In addition, taking into account the use of a part of the existing 12C pipeline in this plan, the estimated cost of constructing a similar 135-kilometer pipeline is 240 million dollars in this section, with an actual cost of 30 million dollars. Therefore, the foreign exchange savings resulting from these measures up to this stage of the development of phase 11 of South Pars is estimated at 400 million dollars.

He considered the extraction of gas from phase 11 of South Pars to compensate for the gas imbalance crisis in the cold months of the year and said: simultaneously with the completion of the remaining activities, it is planned to drill two wells in position 11B by the end of current Iranian year and they will be operational.

The manager of South Pars Phase 11 project of Petropars Company also stated about the second phase of the first part of the development of this project: the second phase of the development of the first phase of this project will be followed simultaneously, and for this purpose, the stages of designing, manufacturing and installing jacket 11A by Sadra and Design Company , the construction and installation of offshore platform position 11A has been started by ISOICO company.

Nadiran also announced the finalization of the supply contract for marine pipelines in position 11A of this project, and he said: the contract for the supply of major items such as 32 and 4.5 inch pipes has been notified and even the production of 4.5 inch pipes has been completed and is ready to be transported to the Petropars warehouse, and the contracts for the secondary goods needed in this sector will also be awarded soon.

In explaining the second part of South Pars Phase 11 development plan, he pointed to the issue of the natural pressure drop in the reservoir after two decades of production from this field and stated: The implementation of the pressure boosting project is one of the most important challenges in the South Pars joint field. The design, construction and installation of these facilities is considered the first experience in the country, which will be proudly implemented in the second part of the South Pars Phase 11 development plan by the experts of the oil industry and for the first time in our beloved country.

The manager of South Pars phase 11 project of Petropars company described the work description of this stage as including the design, construction and installation of a pressure boosting platform to maintain gas production, a residential platform, marine pipeline and cable laying and said: the tender for the selection of the basic engineering contractor of this sector by Petropars company It is being done so that it will enter the implementation phase soon after selecting an engineering consultant.
