Bushehr Governor: Staff at Damaged Refineries Kept Iran’s Gas Flowing

The governor of Bushehr thanked specialists, engineers, staff, and workers at the damaged South Pars refineries and said their effort to hold gas production and serve the country in hard conditions deserves recognition.

RoydadNaft –  The governor of Bushehr thanked specialists, engineers, staff, and workers at the damaged South Pars refineries and said their effort to hold gas production and serve the country in hard conditions deserves recognition.

According to Roydad Naft, Arsalan Zareh spoke on Thursday, October 8, 2026, after visiting South Pars refineries 4 and 6, at a meeting on the latest status of the South Pars gas complex. Stable, continuous gas production is a strategic national issue and must be pursued seriously, he said.

Keeping gas flowing is attention to a basic need of the country and support for continued service to the public.

Alongside damage to some refinery units in the recent war, what stood out on the visit was the effort of specialists, engineers, staff, and workers to hold and continue production, Zareh said. They worked with a notable sense of responsibility to keep output and serve Iran, and that work deserves thanks.

People of Bushehr Province have stood their ground in this part of the country and on Kharg Island, and have long hosted the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, the country’s exports, and Iran’s energy security, he said.

Beside the armed forces, the province lost 63 people — clean, worthy people and young men and women — in defense of the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, especially the independence and dignity of the land.

He thanked the people of Bushehr for standing calmly, in solidarity, and with a sense of responsibility beside industry and public servants.

Damage from the recent imposed war and the loss of part of gas production was not only a regional or provincial problem. It was a national issue, and the government has given it special attention, he said.

Obstacles must be cleared and reconstruction of damaged units sped up. Raised issues should be followed seriously so that, with the needed resources, rebuild and a return to normal can move faster.

He hoped that, with cooperation from responsible agencies and use of existing capacity, obstacles would be removed and the gas industry could keep producing and serving the country.
