‘Iran companies participation in Moscow expos double’
Roydad Naft News Agency – A Russian official has announced that the number of Iranian companies that attended the expos in Moscow raised doubled during the first five months of 2023 while being compared with that of the preceding year.
This increase indicates willingness to widen trade exchange, Alexey Vyalkin, Acting Director General of Russia’s EXPOCENTRE said at a preliminary meeting held in Moscow on Wednesday evening on the second Tehran Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) exhibition.
This year, as he underlined, important trade delegations have been exchanged between the two countries to upgrade the level of economic cooperation.
Review of outcomes of meetings and interactions proves that they have been effective, Vyalkin said.
Like the Iranian companies which are willing to have access to the Russian market, the Russians are after having much more presence in Iran and in other Asian countries, he added.
He went on to say that his country supports the participation of countries’ companies in the Tehran EAEU exhibition slated for the first days of December.
Iran’s Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali, who was also present in the Moscow meeting, invited companies in Russia, in other Eurasian member states, in Shanghai Cooperation Organization and in the Persian Gulf region to take part in the Tehran exhibition.
According to remarks of the director of the Tehran EAEU exhibition, Ali-Reza Jafai, the international gathering is to be held in the Iranian capital on December 4 for four days.
Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Armenia are members of the EAEU, while Uzbekistan, Moldova, and Cuba are the Union observers.
A draft of agreement between Iran and Eurasia was written and signed in July 2017. The two sides have been holding talks on signing a comprehensive agreement on cooperation since second half of 2021.
