According to Roydad Naft, the chief executive of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company said in Sarakhs that gas production by the East Oil and Gas Production Company rose by 1 billion cubic meters in the first half of this year (March 21–September 22, 2026) compared with the same period a year earlier.

With 10 million cubic meters of gas-storage capacity, the targets are 18 million cubic meters of withdrawal and 47 million cubic meters of production from the Khangiran, Tus, Gonbadli, and Shourijeh B fields, Peyman Imani said, outlining production and storage plans in eastern Iran. In total, 65 million cubic meters of raw gas will be produced and delivered to the Shahid Hasheminejad gas refinery at Sarakhs.
