Iran’s Deputy Oil Minister Stresses Faster Implementation of Gas-Optimization Plans
RoydadNaft – The chief executive of the National Iranian Gas Company, stressing the need to accelerate optimization projects, called the role of energy-service companies in cutting consumption and managing the imbalance strategic.
According to Roydad Naft, citing the National Iranian Gas Company, Saeed Tavakoli spoke at the third meeting on resolving challenges for type-2 energy-service companies. The volume of gas saved by these companies’ services across the provinces, and the significant value of savings-certificate trades on the Energy Exchange, clearly show the strategic importance of this sector, and that outlook will without doubt be brighter in the future. All of these entities must therefore, with firm resolve and maximum focus, identify high-consuming customers and push optimization plans forward at full capacity, and accelerate their work, he said.
A dedicated session can be held if needed to present the performance reports of the energy-service companies, so each entity can describe its work in formats such as an in-person presentation, a video clip, or motion graphics, Tavakoli said, pointing to the importance of evaluating the companies’ actions.
The process of fixing the companies’ defects and problems must not be overshadowed by meetings or left waiting. If there is any ambiguity or problem in carrying out the work, colleagues in carbon and energy management are following up on those cases specially, he said.
All provinces are required to set up and activate an energy-service company service desk in all district gas offices as soon as possible. Information and awareness-raising must also be pursued seriously, using all public-relations capacity, the governor’s offices, and state broadcasting, and through interviews, Tavakoli said, referring to duties assigned to provincial gas companies.
Predictive bills of good quality and accuracy have been designed for customers using artificial-intelligence technology. A customer can easily see an analysis of consumption and learn how much saving is needed, compared with the same period a year earlier, to move into lower consumption tiers. Proper information about this valuable service must therefore also be provided in the link of issued bills, he said, referring to the unveiling of the new gas-bill mechanism.
