Daily Output at Iran’s Yaran Oil Field Tops 21,000 Barrels
RoydadNaft – The executive for the Yaran oil-field development plan said production rose 20% in the first half of the Iranian year 1405 compared with the start of the year, and that daily output has reached 21,721 barrels, with a target of 23,000 barrels a day set for the second half of the year.
According to Roydad Naft, citing the National Iranian Oil Company, Seyed Hossein Mohseni Zanuzi outlined the latest production status of the Yaran field. Daily output from the northern section is 14,175 barrels and from the southern section 7,546 barrels, for a total of 21,721 barrels a day.
Replacement of downhole pumps in wells No. 3, 6, and 18 of the northern section, and startup of the pump in well No. 7 of that section, were among the main steps taken to raise output, he said.
Production in the first half of this year (March 21–September 22, 2026) rose 20% from the start of the year. Total oil produced from Yaran in the first six months of the year 1405 reached 3,434,000 barrels, of which 2,020,000 barrels came from the northern section and 1,414,000 from the southern section.
26 downhole pumps active at Yaran
The number of active downhole pumps at the field has reached 26 for the first time, Mohseni Zanuzi said, pointing to the role of downhole equipment in raising capacity.
Continuous monitoring of wells equipped with downhole pumps and of naturally flowing wells has been an effective step in maintaining and raising output. Of 41 wells in the field, 28 are on production, and wells No. 17 and 18 of the southern section produce intermittently.
Installation of downhole pumps in wells No. 10, 16, 13, 11, and 5 of the southern section, and repair and putting well No. 19 of that section into production, are among the steps planned to reach 23,000 barrels a day in the second half of the year 1405 (September 23, 2026–March 20, 2027).
From the award of the contract under the new Iranian Petroleum Contract (IPC) model through the end of Shahrivar 1405 (September 22, 2026), over 1,445 days, total oil production from Yaran was about 25,150,000 barrels. The daily production increase over the baseline also exceeded 13,000 barrels in Shahrivar this year (August 23–September 22, 2026).
