RoydadNaft – Jam Petrochemical Company is planning to launch a pyrolysis separation and base gasoline production project that could help meet part of Iran’s domestic gasoline demand, the company’s CEO, Amir Akbari, said.

According to Roydad Naft, Akbari said the project is expected to produce approximately 556,000 liters of base gasoline per day. Blending the output with naphtha would raise production capacity to around 1 million liters of high-quality gasoline daily.

The project is expected to require an investment of approximately $20 million and take 12 months to complete, Akbari said.

Estimates indicate that the investment could be recovered in about six months and reduce Iran’s annual foreign currency expenditure on gasoline imports by approximately $255 million.
