Iran’s Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery Sets 10-Year Record for Gas Processing

Iran’s Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery processed more than 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first six months of the current Iranian year, marking its highest intake and processing volume for the same period in a decade, according to the facility’s CEO.

RoydadNaft –  Iran’s Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery processed more than 7 billion cubic meters of natural gas in the first six months of the current Iranian year, marking its highest intake and processing volume for the same period in a decade, according to the facility’s CEO.

Yahya Feizi, CEO of Shahid Hasheminejad Gas Refinery Company, said the facility received and processed 7.095 billion cubic meters of natural gas during the first six months of the year, up from 6.017 billion cubic meters in the same period last year, representing an 18% increase.

He said the figure was the refinery’s highest gas intake for the corresponding six-month period in the past 10 years, attributing the achievement to a combination of technical and operational strategies.

Feizi said the round-the-clock efforts of refinery employees played a key role in setting the record. These efforts included shortening the duration of major maintenance, completing intensive and scheduled maintenance on operational units within 25 days, and carrying out preventive full-plant shutdown maintenance in just four days.

He added that optimizing operational processes, improving equipment efficiency and strengthening technical and operational oversight also contributed to the increase in production.

According to Feizi, the measures were implemented to sustain refinery operations and ensure maximum readiness to reliably meet the country’s natural gas demand during the colder months.
