RoydadNaft –  Several tankers carrying about 7 million barrels of oil and gas are preparing to transit the Strait of Hormuz with a U.S. escort, tanker-tracking firm TankerTrackers said Saturday.

According to Rooydad Naft, citing Al Jazeera, TankerTrackers reported that the vessels were readying to pass through the waterway accompanied by U.S. forces.

The firm also said it tracked 17 ship-to-ship oil and gas transfers in the Gulf of Oman on Friday, Sept. 4, totaling about 24 million barrels.
