Iranian Oil Imports to China Nearly Halved in September, to About 590,000 Barrels a Day

RoydadNaft – Reuters reported that China’s independent refiners have increased purchases from Iraq and Qatar after a drop in Iranian oil supply, buying at least 12 million barrels from the two countries.
According to Roydad Naft, the report said Iranian oil imports to China in September 2026 were nearly cut in half, to about 590,000 barrels a day.
At the same time, Iranian oil stored on tankers fell from about 100 million barrels to 45 million barrels, and Chinese refiners’ margins dropped sharply.
