Gas refinery reconstruction progressing rapidly
RoydadNaft – The managing director of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company called for faster execution of South Pars refinery reconstruction projects during an on-site visit, urging contractors to strictly adhere to the schedule, strengthen cooperation among project teams and expand technical and operational coordination with South Pars Gas Complex Company.
According to IGEDC, Behnam Mirzaei reviewed the latest implementation steps and progress during the field visit to the South Pars refinery reconstruction project and emphasized the need to accelerate work and make maximum use of technical and engineering capacity.
He said these projects are strategically important to maintaining the country’s gas production and processing capacity. The South Pars refinery reconstruction project is one of the gas industry’s most sensitive and impactful initiatives, and all executing units must pursue the work with greater speed and precision through coordination, cohesion and a spirit of cooperation.
Mirzaei also stressed the need for full compliance with the project schedule, saying strict adherence to the timeline and continuous monitoring of progress toward defined goals are essential to success.
He said solidarity and cooperation among companies involved in the project are key to accelerating execution. “Achieving the project’s goals is not possible without constructive engagement and effective cooperation among the client, contractors and the operating company,” he said, adding that a strong atmosphere of collaboration and synergy has formed between the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company and South Pars Gas Complex Company.
During the visit, Mirzaei inspected various parts of the project and reviewed the work completed so far. He said the latest status of the construction work, existing challenges and available capacities to speed up the project were assessed, and the necessary decisions were made to remove obstacles and increase progress.
He also noted the project’s importance for the domestic capabilities of Iran’s gas industry, saying this is the first time a refinery reconstruction project has been assigned to National Iranian Gas Company and its executive arm, the IGEDC. He said this reflects the capability, technical knowledge and expertise of gas engineers and managers in carrying out complex refinery projects.
Mirzaei expressed hope that with continued technical and operational cooperation among the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company, South Pars Gas Complex Co. and the project contractors, the work will advance faster and the planned goals will be achieved on time.
