South Pars Refineries in Iran Source 100% of Overhaul Equipment Domestically
RoydadNaft – The CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex said the facility’s refineries are fully prepared to keep winter gas flowing and are making maximum use of Iranian knowledge-based companies.
According to Roydad Naft, Gholam Abbas Hosseini said the South Pars Gas Complex refineries supply close to 70% of Iran’s energy mix and have a decisive role in keeping gas flowing into the national grid. Staff and specialists at the complex are preparing to meet that responsibility this winter.
Hosseini said round-the-clock work by operations and maintenance teams is following detailed plans so the refineries enter the cold season at 100% readiness and deliver stable, safe gas supply.
He said that since this year’s turnaround work began, 100% of the required parts and equipment have come from Iranian manufacturers, knowledge-based firms, and first-time domestic products. He called that a step toward self-sufficiency, lower import dependence, and a stronger domestic supply chain.
Relying on Iranian specialists and knowledge-based companies not only meets the complex’s operating needs, he said, but also supports technology development, localization of strategic equipment, and greater resilience in Iran’s gas industry. That approach will continue, he added.
Hosseini also stressed the need for new technology at the complex’s refineries. Upgrading technology and using innovative methods is a core part of the South Pars Gas Complex’s plans, he said, with the aim of raising productivity, equipment reliability, and production stability.
