RoydadNaft –  Development of the Farzad, Balal and Kish gas fields is moving twice as fast as in the comparable earlier period, as part of a two-year gas-output drive, Pars Oil and Gas Company Managing Director Touraj Dehghani said.

Dehghani told Roydad Naft, in comments from an IRIB interview, that Balal was undeveloped until a few months ago, when its jacket was installed and drilling began. A rig is now on site and drilling continues.

Progress at Farzad has been satisfactory and the jacket contract has been signed, he said.

Undeveloped fields including Kish and North Pars have also been assigned, with contracts signed and contractors chosen.
