NIOC CEO Rejects Trump’s Claim That Kharg Island Has Been Destroyed: Oil Operations Have Not Stopped Even for a Moment
RoydadNaft – The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) has dismissed Donald Trump’s claim that Iran’s Kharg Island has been wiped out, saying Trump’s posts are laughable. Conditions on Kharg are calm and stable, he said, and oil operations on the island have not been halted even for a moment.
According to Roydad Naft, Hamid Bovard, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, responded to Trump’s post about Kharg Island by saying the former U.S. president’s tweets are ridiculous and that the situation on Kharg is calm and appropriate.
The island has been bombed repeatedly by the American-Zionist enemy, Bovard said, but oil industry colleagues and operational crews did not allow petroleum activities to stop even for an instant.
“Right now, as I am speaking with you, several contractors are carrying out reconstruction and modernization work on storage tanks,” the NIOC chief added. “Reconstruction of jetties and tanks, as well as previously defined projects, is continuing without interruption.”
Some projects currently have about 20 percent progress and others about 30 percent, he said, and work on them is ongoing.
In his latest theatrical display against Iran, Donald Trump posted an AI-generated video of explosions and fires at oil facilities on Kharg Island and claimed: “Kharg Island is being wiped off the map!!!”
