Iran Starts Major Overhaul at South Pars Refinery 11
RoydadNaft – A major overhaul at Iran’s South Pars Gas Complex Refinery 11 began on August 27, 2026, and is scheduled to last eight days, with replacement of molecular sieves in the gas-treating unit and removal of technical bottlenecks on the agenda.
According to Roydad Naft, Mohammad Saeidian, manager of Refinery 11, said detailed expert planning has been completed to raise productivity, improve equipment reliability and ensure the continuity of safe production, and that field work is now underway.
He said replacing the molecular sieves in the gas-treating unit is one of the most important jobs in this overhaul cycle, aimed at improving process performance, raising gas-treatment quality and protecting production capacity.
Saeidian said operations and support teams are fully deployed at the site. All support units have lined up parts, equipment, supplies and services alongside the technical and operations crews so the overhaul can proceed quickly, accurately and in coordination.
At the same time as the sieve change-out, points and equipment flagged by technical inspection and operations specialists are also being repaired and monitored, he said, so technical bottlenecks can be cleared while safety and technical standards are fully observed.
