RoydadNaft –  Iran’s first ground-based and clean flare in the petrochemical industry has been successfully commissioned at the Persian Gulf Sadaf Petrochemical Complex, bringing this strategic project to the threshold of receiving feedstock.

According to a report by Roydad Naft, citing the public relations department of Persian Gulf Sadaf Petrochemical, the complex’s enclosed ground flare (Enclosed Ground Flare) has been installed and commissioned for the first time in Iran’s petrochemical sector. This step has been taken to reduce environmental pollutants, enhance safety, and improve operational performance indicators.

As stated by the complex’s Managing Director, following the successful commissioning of the flare, the process of obtaining HOS and PSSR permits from the National Petrochemical Company has begun. Once all technical and legal requirements are fulfilled, feedstock will be introduced to the complex and production will commence.

Persian Gulf Sadaf Petrochemical, with an annual production capacity of 136,000 tonnes of styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR), is the largest elastomer production complex in Iran and the region.
