Gas Consumption in Iran Crosses 650 Million Cubic Meters Threshold

Gas consumption in the household, commercial, and light industrial sectors in Iran reached 654 million cubic meters, accounting for 75 percent of the total gas delivered to the country’s national gas network.

RoydadNaft –  Gas consumption in the household, commercial, and light industrial sectors in Iran reached 654 million cubic meters, accounting for 75 percent of the total gas delivered to the country’s national gas network.

According to a report from Roydad Naft, the latest statistics released by the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) show that gas consumption in the household, commercial, and small industrial sectors reached 654 million cubic meters — equivalent to 75% of the total gas supplied to Iran’s national gas network.

The household and commercial sectors continue to represent the largest share of the nation’s gas consumption, while power plants and major industries receive a comparatively smaller portion.

The National Iranian Gas Company emphasized that demand-side management in the household and commercial sectors plays a decisive role in maintaining network stability and ensuring reliable supply to other parts of the economy. Subscribers across Iran can help guarantee continued stable gas supply nationwide by following optimal consumption patterns and practicing energy conservation.

Adhering to efficient consumption guidelines — especially during the coldest days of the year — not only helps preserve network stability but also facilitates uninterrupted gas delivery to industrial consumers throughout Iran.
