Household Gas Consumption in Iran Reaches 621 Million Cubic Meters

Daily natural gas consumption in Iran’s residential, commercial, and small industrial sectors hit 621 million cubic meters (mcm) on Saturday amid persistent cold weather, according to the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC).

Analysis of the national gas network shows that households and commercial users continue to account for a large share of total demand, with consumption remaining elevated during the peak of the winter season. 

NIGC officials emphasized that effective demand management in household and commercial sectors is essential for maintaining network stability and ensuring that gas supplies remain available across the country. Consumers have been encouraged to adopt energy-saving practices and follow optimal usage guidelines to support a stable supply nationwide.
