RoydadNaft –  Iran Oil Pipelines and Telecommunications Company (IOPTC) signed two memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in the field of pipeline physical monitoring with new technology-based firms (NTBFs).

The deals were signed Saturday, May 10, on the sidelines of the third day of the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025) in Tehran.

The first agreement covers the initial production of a physical monitoring system for oil transmission pipeline corridors using distributed acoustic and vibration sensing (DAS) fiber optics along a section of the Bandar Abbas-Rafsanjan pipeline.

The second agreement involves the monitoring and physical protection of the Nain-Yazd product pipeline using fiber-optic sensors to enhance smart operations, improve safety, and reduce monitoring and maintenance costs.

The Naein-Yazd pipeline monitoring project will cover a 143-kilometer (89-mile) section of the product pipeline.

The 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025) runs from May 8–11 at the Tehran Permanent International Fairgrounds. Visitors can attend the event daily from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

This year’s exhibition features 2,200 domestic and foreign companies. Due to high demand, five additional halls were added, expanding the total exhibition space to over 40,000 square meters.
