Taban Farda Shares to Go to Iran Oil Fund Staff and Retirees With Oil Minister’s Backing

Sedigheh Khazaei, the Oil Ministry’s deputy for management development and human capital, said permanent and contract employees, retirees, and survivors who are members of the oil industry pension fund will be able to buy shares in Taban Farda Petrochemical Group on installment. She said the plan is being carried out with the oil minister’s support to keep fund members’ ownership of investments already made and to strengthen their financial resilience.

RoydadNaft –  Sedigheh Khazaei, the Oil Ministry’s deputy for management development and human capital, said permanent and contract employees, retirees, and survivors who are members of the oil industry pension fund will be able to buy shares in Taban Farda Petrochemical Group on installment. She said the plan is being carried out with the oil minister’s support to keep fund members’ ownership of investments already made and to strengthen their financial resilience.

According to Roydad Naft, Khazaei said that with the backing of Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad, who chairs the oil pension fund’s board of trustees, up to 5% of Taban Farda Petrochemical Group will be allocated to official and contract staff, retirees, and surviving dependents who belong to the fund.

The aim, she said, is to preserve members’ ownership of the fund’s investments, raise their financial resilience, and let them benefit directly from the economic activity of the fund’s subsidiaries.

About 1,500 tomans a share

Khazaei, a full member of the oil pension fund’s presiding board, said the first stage envisages an allocation at about 1,500 tomans a share, with a cap of 70,000 shares per applicant. The purchase price will be collected in 24 monthly installments from the applicant’s salary or pension.

Taban Farda is a specialized energy group, especially in petrochemicals and refining, and was listed on the Tehran Stock Exchange in September 2026 under the ticker Taban, she said.

At the IPO, 6 billion shares — 2% of the company — were offered. After a general meeting and approval of the financial statements on September 24, 2026, the stock reopened with a sizable price gain.

Direct share of investment returns

The plan lets fund members take part in a listed investment and benefit directly from the returns by buying shares on installment, Khazaei said.

The offered shares are planned to be unlocked within two years at most. The scheme is meant as a model for participation that keeps ownership and the fruits of the fund’s investments and related oil-industry businesses with members.

Stronger financial resilience

Support for working employees and retired fund members cannot come only from higher current payments, she said. Building assets, creating investment opportunities, and sharing in the returns of companies with diversified portfolios can also strengthen their financial resilience.

Because of capital-market rules and limited time for the call, registration, purchase, and allocation, the fund’s related units are moving the plan forward quickly, she said.

She asked applicants to declare their interest as soon as possible through the relevant systems and to provide the required guarantees.

Details on conditions, registration, the purchase process, and other rules will be published by the oil industry pension fund on the “Sama” page of the fund’s website, she said.
