RoydadNaft –  Two backup pumps on the firewater ring of Damavand Energy Assaluyeh have entered service to strengthen safety infrastructure and raise the reliability of the firefighting water network for Phase 2 petrochemical plants in Assaluyeh.

According to Roydad Naft, citing Damavand Energy Assaluyeh, Shahram Ahmadi, director-general of health, safety, and environment at the Oil Ministry, visited the company’s safety and firefighting units with Peyman Esfahani, the company’s chief executive.

During the visit, the two backup firewater-ring pumps were officially brought online. The diesel-driven units use seawater and have a combined capacity of 6,500 cubic meters an hour. They are among the company’s strategic fire-safety assets.

Davoud Emadi, HSE director of the National Petrochemical Company; Mehrzad Gheibi, HSE director of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Organization; and Ebrahim Yaseri, chief executive of the Assaluyeh petrochemicals HSE company, accompanied the Oil Ministry’s HSE director-general on the visit.
