RoydadNaft –  The National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company issued a statement rejecting reports that 3,000- and 5,000-toman gasoline quotas had been dropped for cars worth more than 1 billion tomans.

The full text, carried by Roydad Naft, said:

All existing privately owned passenger cars — except government vehicles, imported cars, vehicles in free zones, and the second and later cars of multi-car owners — still receive 60 liters at 1,500 tomans and 50 liters at 3,000 tomans.

For newly produced private cars that had been subject to a 1 billion-toman price cap for quota eligibility, a related working group is reviewing a higher cap because of changes in the market.

The only change in gasoline prices from Sept. 8, 2026, is the rise in the third rate from 5,000 tomans to 10,000 tomans. The volume and method of previous quota allocations have not changed, NIOPDC public relations said.
