RoydadNaft –  A Fajr Energy Persian Gulf project worker was killed in an on-the-job accident in the Mahshahr utilities sector. No official account of the cause or how the accident happened has been released.

Roydad Naft reported that the fatality occurred during work at the Mahshahr utilities site. Fajr Energy’s public relations office said one of the company’s project employees died this afternoon after an accident at work and after being taken to the medical center in the Petrochemical Special Economic Zone.

“The exact cause and scope of the accident are under review,” the company said.

Safety and technical investigations are expected to precede any further official statement on the cause and contributing factors.
