Gachsaran Petrochemical in Iran Needs 860 Billion Tomans to Raise Output, Provincial Official Says
RoydadNaft – Gachsaran Petrochemical is running at about 40% of capacity and needs 860 billion tomans in bank facilities to increase production, the economic deputy governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad said.
Askari, deputy for economic coordination, told the provincial production-facilitation and obstacle-removal board that banks should help finance the plant and clear debt barriers at production units, Roydad Naft reported.
He put physical progress at the Dehdasht polyethylene petrochemical project at 49% and said banks should provide the needed facilities and help resolve debts so capacity can rise, jobs can be kept and money can circulate in the province.
Askari also raised problems at Zagros private hospital, which he said employs about 120 people and has performed about 4,800 surgeries in recent years. The governor has held several meetings in Tehran with Social Security and health-insurance managers. Provincial policy is to prevent private medical centers from shutting, he said, and the Armed Forces Medical Services Organization, Social Security and Health Insurance should work with the hospital so care and jobs continue.
The same meeting reviewed Yasuj Cement’s failure to obtain 5 billion tomans in facilities and other issues facing production units, including poultry farms.
