Iran Presses Faster Rebuild of Damaged South Pars Refineries, With Safety and Lessons Learned at the Center
RoydadNaft – The third meeting on transferring experience and lessons from debris removal and reconstruction at four damaged refineries in the South Pars Gas Complex was held with an emphasis on cross-unit coordination and a rapid return of the plants to production.
According to Roydad Naft, the session brought together representatives of the South Pars Gas Complex, the engineering and development arm of the National Iranian Gas Company, Pars Oil and Gas Company, and Iran Industrial Projects Management Company (IPMI). It was hosted at the Sixth Refinery.
Mohammad Masoudnia, head of health, safety, environment, and passive defense at the South Pars Gas Complex, said systematic transfer of experience and lessons learned is essential. Continuous coordination among project owners, contractors, and operators, he said, plays a decisive role in speeding reconstruction and creating the conditions for a safe and lasting return of damaged units to Iran’s production cycle.
The meeting reviewed the latest physical progress in debris removal and reconstruction at the damaged refineries and stressed systematic sharing of corrective and preventive measures to avoid similar incidents and raise safety and project quality.
Masoudnia said the experience-transfer meetings will be held monthly so project progress can be monitored continuously and obstacles identified and removed as quickly as possible through coordination across units.
He also underlined continuous HSE oversight at every stage of debris removal and reconstruction. Maximum use of domestic technical capacity, removal of execution bottlenecks through coordination among different units, and attention to early-production plans must move ahead together with full compliance on safety, health, and environmental requirements, he said.
The session ended with a call to keep cooperation among agencies and executing companies in place, pass on operational experience, and use the lessons learned to raise safety, cut risk, and speed the return of Iran’s damaged South Pars refineries to stable production.
