Iran to Rebuild South Pars Phases 9 and 10 Refinery Under New Accord
RoydadNaft – A reconstruction agreement for the South Pars Phases 9 and 10 gas refinery has been signed to speed work and bring production capacity back online. After debris removal and site safety measures, the project has moved into the rebuilding phase.
According to Roydad Naft, the deal is intended to accelerate reconstruction of Iran’s Phases 9 and 10 plant and restore its output. Payandan’s public relations office said the accord aims to make full use of available execution capacity so production can return as quickly as possible.
Touraj Dehghani, CEO of Pars Oil and Gas Company, stressed the need to pick up the pace at the signing ceremony. He said more work fronts and concentrated contractor capacity are essential to restoring output, and called for closer coordination among the client, contractors, and other execution teams.
Hossein Davoudinia, Payandan’s deputy chief, said debris clearance and securing of damaged sections were completed in less than two months. Once the site was made safe, reconstruction began. With more crews on the ground, progress on the fourth train of the fifth South Pars refinery has passed 40 percent, he said.
Davoudinia also said part of the plant’s capacity is scheduled to return by year-end.
