RoydadNaft –  The CEO of Iran’s National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company said gasoline consumption in Tehran Province has risen about 30 percent in recent days as more drivers have been heading to gas stations, but he insisted there is no cause for concern.

Mohammad Sadegh Azimifar told IRIB that some people have been rushing to stations because of circulating rumors. He said fuel production, transportation, and distribution across the country remain stable and that the supply chain is operating normally.

In recent days, rumors about gasoline availability have driven more motorists to stations in Tehran, creating long lines at some locations. Company officials have rejected claims of a fuel shortage and stressed that gasoline production, transfer, and distribution are continuing without interruption.
