Pars South refineries enter reconstruction phase

Reconstruction of four damaged refineries at Iran’s South Pars Gas Complex is moving forward under a structured plan focused on domestic capabilities, the complex’s CEO said.

RoydadNaft –  Reconstruction of four damaged refineries at Iran’s South Pars Gas Complex is moving forward under a structured plan focused on domestic capabilities, the complex’s CEO said.

Gholamabbas Hosseini said debris removal at the four damaged refineries has been completed after round-the-clock efforts by the complex’s technical staff. Reconstruction is now underway with a program-based approach relying heavily on domestic expertise and resources.

Speaking at a meeting with the acting head of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Organization, Hosseini praised employees for maintaining production during the difficult conditions of the 12-day war and what he described as the third imposed war.

He said South Pars Gas Complex workers and specialists maintained production through a strong sense of duty, professional commitment and responsibility during the crisis, helping ensure a stable supply of energy across the country.

The experience of managing the crisis demonstrated that the region’s skilled workforce and existing technical capabilities are sufficient to carry out complex and time-consuming operations, Hosseini said. Targeted use of those capabilities can accelerate reconstruction and the return of damaged units to production, he added.

Hosseini stressed the need for coordination among different units and the joint use of the region’s technical, engineering and operational capabilities to maintain stable production and effectively address operational requirements in the coming months.

He also pointed to ongoing major maintenance, equipment upgrades and improvements to operational processes, saying the measures have strengthened the refineries’ readiness to maintain reliable and stable gas production.

“All available technical and operational capacities will be mobilized to maintain production stability, particularly during the colder months,” he said.

Hosseini added that a stable energy supply requires continuous equipment readiness, precise operational planning and the effective involvement of skilled personnel. South Pars employees are continuing their mission of producing and delivering gas to the national network by relying on domestic knowledge, experience and technical capabilities.

Coordinated Approach to Social Responsibility

Hosseini also called for stronger coordination among companies operating in the Pars region in carrying out social responsibility programs.

The capacity of major companies in the region should be deployed within a clear and coordinated framework to prevent duplication and ensure resources are directed toward addressing residents’ actual needs and promoting balanced regional development, he said.

He added that clearly defining companies’ areas of responsibility and coordinating with the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone Organization could improve the coherence of social projects and increase the effectiveness of development initiatives.

Hosseini reiterated the need for closer coordination among companies operating in the region, maximum use of technical and operational capabilities, and continued stable gas production.
