Signing of oil and gas cooperation agreement in the presence of the Presidents of Iran and Kazakhstan
The agreement on oil and gas cooperation was signed by the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company in the presence of the Presidents of Iran and Kazakhstan.
According to the information base of the National Iranian Oil Company, a joint commission for cooperation between the two countries was held this afternoon (Sunday, June 19) and then in the presence of President Seyed Ibrahim Raisi, President Qassem Zhumart Tokayev and Javad Oji. Minister of Oil, an agreement on oil and gas cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan was signed between Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr, CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company and CEO of Kaz Mona Gas Company of Kazakhstan.
Iran and Kazakhstan are two well-known countries in the field of oil, and it is expected that this agreement, which mentions cooperation in various fields, will become important agreements for the use of capacities and the development of cooperation.
The President of the Islamic Republic of Iran and his Kazakh counterpart met last year on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Summit in Tajikistan, and it was agreed to increase bilateral cooperation, including rail cooperation.
Oil Minister Javad Oji also met with Kazakh Energy Minister Bulat Akhkolakov on the sidelines of the Baku Energy Conference in June.
On June 1, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company met with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Trade and Convergence of Kazakhstan in the field of cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Khojasteh Mehrdar said: “Considering Kazakhstan’s desire to cooperate with our oil industry, experts from the two countries are expected to study the fields of cooperation in the development of heavy oil fields, oil, oil and gas swaps and oil products, and export of technical and engineering services.” And the outcome of the talks between the experts of the two countries will eventually lead to an agreement of cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan, based on the plans made.
According to the report, nine agreement of cooperation between Iran and Kazakhstan in various fields were signed today after the holding of a joint commission of the two countries in the Saadabad cultural-historical complex. At the beginning of the signing ceremony, the two countries also signed a joint statement.
