First Train of a Damaged South Pars Refinery in Iran to Return This Year
RoydadNaft – The chief executive of the National Iranian Gas Company said the first gas train at Refinery 6 of the South Pars Gas Complex will return to production this year. Three phases with a committed capacity of about 94 million cubic meters a day are already back, and actual recovered capacity on that path is close to 100 million cubic meters a day.
According to Roydad Naft, Saeed Tavakoli said lost gas-refining capacity is being restored quickly and damaged units continue to come back online.
Three phases have entered production. Their committed capacity was about 94 million cubic meters a day, but in practice close to 100 million cubic meters a day has been recovered through that route, he said.
The first complete gas train to return this year will be train 3 of Refinery 6 at the South Pars Gas Complex.
After that, train 4 of Refinery 4, train 1 of Refinery 4, and then train 1 of Refinery 6 will enter production in stages, Tavakoli said.
