Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical CEO Stresses Process Safety Management in Iran
RoydadNaft – The chief executive of Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical, speaking at a process safety management (PSM) training course, stressed the need for effective implementation of the system to prevent industrial accidents, protect employees, and achieve safe, stable production.
According to Roydad Naft, citing the company’s public relations and international affairs office, the course on PSM concepts and requirements was attended by Maziar Madouli Behbahani, the company’s CEO, and a group of the complex’s senior managers and officials.
The session, held on the last day of summer 1405 (September 22, 2026), reviewed the latest status of PSM implementation, work already done, and the company’s upcoming plans to expand safety infrastructure.
Focus on preventing industrial accidents
Madouli Behbahani said process safety management is important in the petrochemical industry and that putting the system in place effectively is essential to prevent process incidents and reach reliable, stable production.
He also said all managers, employees, and operating units must take part in meeting PSM requirements and that cooperation across the organization is needed to embed a safety culture.
Status of PSM at Shahid Tondgooyan
Senior managers at the complex were briefed on the concepts, management and operating requirements, and various dimensions of process safety management.
With the project consultant present, participants reviewed the rollout of PSM elements, execution steps already taken, and the complex’s future plans.
Other points included coordination among organizational units, stronger management interaction, and effective application of safety requirements.
Implementation of process safety management at Shahid Tondgooyan Petrochemical is being pursued to reduce the risk of major industrial accidents, protect people and equipment, raise operating safety, and keep production safe and continuous.
