Iran’s Oil Minister Appoints Acting Deputy for Engineering, Research, and Technology

Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad has appointed Mohammad Mazraeh Khatiri as acting deputy for engineering, research, and technology.

RoydadNaft –  Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad has appointed Mohammad Mazraeh Khatiri as acting deputy for engineering, research, and technology.

According to Roydad Naft, Paknejad’s order to Mazraeh Khatiri said: “In view of your commitment, record, and experience, you are hereby appointed acting deputy for engineering, research, and technology.”

The order stressed using the capabilities of specialists in related fields and drawing on expert experience to carry out the assigned programs and duties.

Mazraeh Khatiri has been director-general of the technical-executive system and project evaluation since 2024. Before that, from May 10, 2022, to December 27, 2024, he was deputy for contracts and engineering estimates.

His earlier roles include head of the project-creation system; official responsible for evaluating execution systems and progress on onshore field-development projects; senior expert in evaluating execution systems and progress on onshore development projects; project-progress monitoring expert; and expert in designing organizational policies and comprehensive studies.

He holds a master’s degree in socioeconomic systems engineering, with a concentration in energy-systems planning, from Islamic Azad University, South Tehran branch, and a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, with a concentration in systems planning and analysis, from Iran University of Science and Technology.
