Ilam Gas Company Prepares for Winter in Iran: Zero Leakage and Legal Action Against Violators

The chief executive of Ilam Province Gas Company said the utility is fully ready for the cold season, pledged firm action against gas thieves and violators, and said network stability is not possible without public cooperation.

RoydadNaft –  The chief executive of Ilam Province Gas Company said the utility is fully ready for the cold season, pledged firm action against gas thieves and violators, and said network stability is not possible without public cooperation.

According to Roydad Naft, Ali Soleimani met the new chief of Ilam Province’s judiciary and congratulated him on his appointment. He said the company is fully engaged in serving the province. One hundred percent of the urban population and more than 99% of the rural population now have natural gas, making Ilam one of Iran’s “green” provinces for gasification.

Service to deprived and hard-to-reach areas has been a priority, and distribution of service across the province has been kept fair, he said.

Since March 21, 2026, the company has identified and removed more than 150 meters of illegal network and 12 illegal service risers. The violators were referred to the courts, and their cases are now with judicial officers for action.

Soleimani said field inspections of stations and facilities across the province have focused on pressure-reduction stations, feeder lines, and the distribution network. Staff are working around the clock to keep the system stable and maintain uninterrupted service in the cold season.

The company has reached zero gas leakage across the province, he said. In recent inspections, technicians used advanced leak-detection equipment to check flanges, fittings, and equipment at stations and on the lines.

Stable supply in winter requires public cooperation, Soleimani said. He asked residents to follow consumption guidelines and conserve gas, saying the network cannot be kept stable in the current difficult conditions without that support.

The company’s goal is to enter the cold season with full technical, operational, and safety readiness and to guarantee distribution stability across Ilam.

Jabbar Sepehri, chief of the Ilam judiciary, thanked the gas company for its service, commended its winter preparedness, and said the courts are determined to act against gas thieves.

He said Ilam Gas Company has provided acceptable urban and rural gas service over the years. The judiciary stands with the company on gas theft and will take action, he said.

Sepehri called gas service to deprived and hard-to-reach areas a valuable service of the Islamic Republic to the people of Ilam. He wished the company’s management and staff success and called for closer cooperation with the courts to improve public service.

Public satisfaction is the main asset of any service organization, he said. Based on reports and public feedback, Ilam Gas Company’s performance has earned acceptable citizen satisfaction and a good level of public trust — the result of responsiveness, proper treatment of customers, and follow-up on public demands. He said he hoped that standard of service would continue.
