Revival of Petro Hami Petro-Refinery Project in Asaluyeh Put on the Agenda
RoydadNaft – The chief justice of Bushehr Province said a decision will be made to settle and operationalize the Petro Hami petro-refinery project in Asaluyeh, which is affiliated with Iran’s Prisoners’ Cooperative Foundation. He said that within the next two to three weeks the board will review bringing in an investment partner or securing the funding needed for the project, which has been stalled since 2012.
According to Roydad Naft, Mehdi Mehrangiz, chief justice of Bushehr Province, said the status of the Petro Hami petro-refinery in the Asaluyeh area has been reviewed and that the project has remained unresolved since 2012.
He said appropriate decisions were taken at a meeting on the project’s status to determine its fate and move it toward operation. A Petro Hami board meeting is to be held within two to three weeks with the Bushehr chief justice, the CEO, advisers, and board members in attendance.
At that session, he said, the board will decide on attracting an investment partner or providing the credits required to execute the Petro Hami petro-refinery so the project can move into operation.
Mehrangiz emphasized that proceeds from the project will be allocated to livelihood support for prisoners’ families in Iran.
