Iran Secures Two Strategic Feedstock Lines Serving Mahshahr Petrochemical Plants
RoydadNaft – Aghajari Oil and Gas Production Company has completed safety work on naphtha and LPG pipelines that supply feedstock to petrochemical units in Mahshahr, Managing Director Seyed Mohsen Dehbanpour said.
The aim was to keep feedstock flowing reliably to those plants, Roydad Naft reported, citing the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
On the 10-inch naphtha line, crews identified two illegal taps, made the line safe after nitrogen pigging, removed the taps and returned the pipeline to service.
The 12-inch LPG line moves liquids from the company’s NGL units 200, 300 and 1500 to Bandar Imam Petrochemical in Mahshahr. The naphtha line carries petroleum liquids from Gachsaran Oil and Gas Production Company’s NGL unit 900 and Aghajari’s NGL unit 1000 to Bouali Petrochemical.
Dehbanpour said securing the two lines is central to lowering operational risk and keeping feedstock moving to downstream plants.
The work was carried out after process risks were ranked and operating and maintenance units coordinated. A report was filed to update safety systems and operating records.
