RoydadNaft –  Iran’s Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad has commented on the possibility of cooperation between Iran and the United States in the oil and gas sector, amid the ongoing nuclear negotiations between the two countries. He stated: “Everything is possible.” However, it remains unclear whether such oil and gas cooperation between Tehran and Washington will become operational at this stage.

According to Roydad Naft, the Oil Minister reiterated when addressing the potential for Iran–US collaboration in oil and gas, in light of the continuing nuclear talks: “Everything is possible.”

Mohsen Paknejad again emphasised: “Everything is possible” regarding cooperation between Iran and the United States in the oil and gas domain.

The minister added: “It is not yet clear whether oil and gas cooperation between Tehran and Washington will materialise now or not.”

It is worth noting that Hamid Qanbari, Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy, stated during a meeting at the Iran Chamber of Commerce on Sunday 26 Bahman (14 February 2026) that shared interests in the oil and gas sectors, joint fields, mining investments, and even aircraft purchases have been included in the negotiations with the United States.

This cautious but open tone from the Oil Minister aligns with recent remarks suggesting that energy cooperation could form part of any broader diplomatic progress.
