Second meeting on energy shortages held at Oil Ministry

The second meeting of the review and management of the energy imbalance in Iran was held with the presence of the vice presidents of Iran and several ministers involved in economic affairs, hosted by the Ministry of Oil.

RoydadNaft –  The second meeting on addressing and managing energy disequilibrium was hosted by the Ministry of Oil, with the participation of vice presidents and several ministers involved in economy.

The session, held on Sunday evening, and hosted by Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad, included attendees such as Mohammad-Jafar Qaempanah, Vice President for Executive Affairs and Chief of Staff; Zahra Behrouz-Azar, Vice Presidency for Women and Family Affairs; Hossein Afshin, Vice-President for Science, Technology and Technology-Based Economy; Abdolnaser Hemmati, Minister of Economy and Ahmad Meydari, Minister of Labor.

Other participants of the meeting comprised Farzaneh Sadeq-Malvajerd, Minister of Roads and Urban Development; Amin-Hossein Rahimi, Minister of Justice; Gholamreza Nouri-Qezeljeh, Minister of Agriculture; Mohammad Atabak, Minister of Industry, Mines, and Trade; Sattar Hashemi, Minister of Information and Communications Technology; Fatemeh Mohajeri, Government Spokesperson; Elyas Hazrati, Head of the Government Information Council, as well as several deputies from the Plan and Budget Organization and the Ministries of Industry and Labor.

Following the first meeting on December 4, Qaempanah emphasized the importance of addressing the nation’s energy imbalance to ensure sufficient fuel supplies for the winter. He stated that the meetings would be held weekly or, in urgent cases, daily.

“The imbalance has existed for years, but the situation has now become critical,” Qaempanah said.

“To prevent problems for citizens during the winter, including power outages, we convened this session to manage the energy imbalance effectively,” the official noted.
