Iran Exploits 2 New Wells in Lali Oilfield
RoydadNaft – The CEO of the National Iranian Drilling Company (NIDC), Mehran Makvandi, announced that two wells in Lali oilfield, codenamed 37 and 38, have been put into operation for field testing by Masjed Soleiman Oil and Gas Exploitation Company.
“The new oil processing device is significantly different from the existing domestically manufactured devices in terms of efficiency and speed of operation and the first device manufactured by the company,” Makvandi said.
Noting that the first generation of domestic processing devices is concentrated on three trailer-mounted devices and the first device manufactured by the company on two trailer-mounted devices, he said, “The second mobile oil processing device of the National Drilling Company is installed and assembled on a trailer, and therefore its transportation, deployment, installation, commissioning and operational time are very short and it has higher speed of operation and reliability than other existing devices.”
“In the first step, with the coordination of the National Southern Oilfields Company, two wells 37 and 38 of the Lali oil field in the scope of activity of the Masjed Soleiman Oil and Gas Production Company were put into operation for field testing, and its quantitative and qualitative activity was approved by the employer,” Makvandi said.
In a relevant development in 2024, the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) inked several memoranda of understanding (MoUs), worth $8 billion, with the Iranian companies to develop the joint oil and gas fields.
Mohsen Khojasteh Mehr, the head of the NIOC and deputy oil minister, told reporters that operational steps will be taken in line with the maximum development of the oil and gas fields.
He added that over the past few weeks, petrochemical companies invested heavily in constructing 20 gas reservoirs, valued at $7 billion.
The NIOC will provide Iranian companies with the necessary facilities to add 85 million cubic meters of gas to the existing capacity, Khojasteh Mehr said.
The MoUs, valued at $8 billion, were inked on the 3rd day of the 28th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition dubbed Iran Oil show 2024 between the National Iranian Oil Company and Iranian production and exploration companies, aimed at the daily production of 200,000 barrels of oil and 85 million cubic meters gas and per day.
