UAE Crude Oil Production Hits Highest Level Since April 2020 in June 2026
RoydadNaft – The United Arab Emirates raised its crude oil production by 1,707 thousand barrels per day in June 2026, reaching 3.818 million barrels per day, according to OPEC’s monthly report cited by Trading Economics. This output level is the highest recorded since April 2020.
The production increase followed the UAE’s departure from OPEC at the end of April. The country has been working to restore exports after the interim US-Iran peace agreement allowed more shipments to pass through the Strait of Hormuz.
To support its export efforts, the UAE has expanded the use of its own tanker fleet and chartered additional vessels, including ships operated by South Korea’s Sinokor Group. Some cargoes have been transported without active tracking signals.
Kuwait also increased its output to 1.394 million barrels per day, while Iraq pumped 2.09 million barrels per day. In contrast, Saudi Arabia reduced its production by 373,000 barrels to 6.637 million barrels per day.
The recovery in regional supply has since been clouded by renewed fighting around the Strait of Hormuz, which has lifted oil prices and revived concerns over disruptions to global energy flows.
