The signing of a large contract between the National Iranian Oil Company and domestic companies/ 35 wells will be drilled in South Pars
RoydadNaft – The CEO of National Iranian Oil Company announced that the drilling of 35 infield wells in South Pars with a credit of one billion and 170 million dollars has been handed over to four Iranian drilling, exploration and production companies with the aim of increasing productivity and maintaining gas production.
Mohsen Khojstemehr said: The drilling of 35 in-field wells in the South Pars common field was assigned to four Iranian drilling, exploration and production companies at once and in the form of four contracts with the aim of increasing productivity, maintaining and maintaining production from this field.
He continued: The drilling of 35 infield wells in South Pars will be done with a budget of one billion and 170 million dollars in a period of about three years and under the supervision of Pars Oil and Gas Company as the employer.
The Deputy Minister of Oil added: Handing over this huge project to domestic contractors, on the one hand, will help the development of the gas industry, maintain the country’s production and economic growth, and on the other hand, it will create employment and improve domestic capabilities.
The National Iranian Oil Company intends to hand over similar work packages to other qualified contractors to drill more in-field wells.
