President of Iran: Oil and gas is the favorite area of cooperation between Iran and Turkey
RoydadNaft – The President of Iran met and talked with his Turkish counterpart on the sidelines of the 16th ECO Economic Cooperation Organization meeting.
In his meeting with Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Seyyed Ibrahim Raisi described Iran-Turkey relations as expanding and emphasized on the provision of grounds for further development of relations, especially in the commercial and economic sector, and its promotion to higher levels.
He considered the oil and gas sector as one of the areas of cooperation between the two countries and, pointing to the very good capacities of the Islamic Republic of Iran in this field, expressed hope that the two countries would take more effective steps in this field at the current stage.
In another part of this meeting, the president considered the issue of Palestine and the terrible crimes of the Zionist usurper regime in Gaza to be the most important concern of the two countries today, but also the Islamic world and humanity, and while appreciating the Turkish president’s support for the people of Gaza, he stated: We believe that in the current situation, we must go beyond From the declaration of positions, practical steps should be taken for an immediate ceasefire, the lifting of the blockade of Gaza and the provision of aid to the oppressed people of this region.
Raisi also emphasized: Islamic countries must cut off their political and economic relations with the criminal Zionist regime.
