RoydadNaft –   Yesterday, the president arrived in Tajikistan to conduct negotiations, a country that can bring potential for Iran in the field of energy, and according to the former representative of Iran in OPEC, every step in the field of energy diplomacy is in the interest of Iran.

Referring to the advantages of cooperation between Iran and Tajikistan in the field of energy, Mohammad Khatibi said: Iran’s cooperation with Southeast Asian countries is useful, as it has been said, there is a refinery in Tajikistan that we can cooperate with, although this refinery is not very big, but in general, our cooperation with Southeast Asian countries can be a way forward.

Stating that the development of international cooperation in the conditions of sanctions can have positive effects, he said: these countries can help us in the conditions of sanctions and considering that we have become members of the Shanghai countries, the development of cooperation with these countries in the field of energy and other discussions can be effective.

According to the former representative of Iran in OPEC, in this sector, Tajikistan cannot have high production and consumption, but the gathering of small countries can help.

Khatibi stated that the Iranian Ministry of Petroleum in the issue of technical and engineering services, considering its capacity and capabilities in the field of extraction, exploration and benefiting from oil and gas fields and oil and gas processing in refineries and at the same time producing petrochemical products, can to cooperate with this country, he said: the development of cooperation with Tajikistan will benefit both countries and its effects will definitely benefit both countries.

Yesterday, the presidents and high-ranking officials of Iran and Tajikistan signed a joint statement and 18 cooperation documents and memorandums.

Memorandum of understanding on the roadmap for long-term trade and economic cooperation for the years 2023 to 2030, event cancellation, combating drug trafficking, transportation and transit, crisis management, creating a joint free zone, culture and art, higher education, technological research and innovation, Postal services, sports affairs and sister singing between the cities of Yazd and Khojnd in Tajikistan were among the documents and memorandums of cooperation between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Tajikistan, which were signed by the officials of the two countries.

These cooperation documents were signed between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Energy, Culture of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Ministers of Economic Development, Culture, Education, Transportation and Industry of Tajikistan.
