The Abadan Oil Refining Company in southwestern Iran will host the first meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization member states’ refining companies in late September.

Hakim Qayyem, the Abadan company managing director, made the announcement and added the meeting will be held in the Arvand Free Zone and attended by domestic and foreign refiners.

According to him, the National Iranian Oil Products Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) selected the Abadan Oil Refining Company as the host of the ECO member states’ refining companies’ heads and honorary guests from Basra and Karbala.

The participants will discuss the formation of an ECO refining industry association, he mentioned.
