Iran’s Ariasasol Polymer Company Saves $408,000 Annually Through Burner Gas Recovery Plan

Iran’s Ariasasol Polymer Company has achieved approximately $408,000 in annual savings by capturing and reusing valuable burner gas that was previously wasted during plant maintenance, significantly reducing emissions and technical losses, the company announced.

RoydadNaft –  The CEO of Ariasasol Polymer Company said that by implementing a burner gas collection plan, the company has prevented the annual wastage of about 762 tons of ethylene and ethane mixture that would otherwise be burned off during activities such as hydrogenation reactor replacement or servicing of olefin units.

According to Aryasasol public relations, citing the National Petrochemical Industry Company, Mohammad Reza Heydarzadeh explained that not only did this waste represent significant economic loss, but it also contributed to environmental pollution and technical damage. The burner gas recovery initiative is therefore classified as a key plan to reduce flaring, protect the environment, and prevent equipment damage.

Heydarzadeh noted that implementing the project has led to an annual reduction of roughly six hours of torch burning, contributing to lower emissions and $408,000 in total savings for the company.
