Iran’s Arya Sasol Sets New Global-Class Polyethylene Production Record
RoydadNaft – Arya Sasol Polymer Company, one of Iran’s largest petrochemical producers, has once again broken its own benchmarks, achieving the highest-ever monthly polyethylene output from its medium- and heavy-density unit in a 30-day month.
In November 2025 (Aban 1404), the company produced 34,514 tonnes of strategic grades HCH5110 and HCH5510 — a remarkable increase of 278 tonnes over the previous 30-day record of 34,236 tonnes set in March 2024 (Esfahan 1403).
The feat is particularly notable because the record was achieved while switching between two different grades— a process that normally forces a temporary drop in reactor output due to parameter adjustments. Arya Sasol’s engineering teams, however, optimized transition protocols and operating conditions to minimize downtime and push production higher than ever before.
This marks the third consecutive monthly production record broken by the unit in under six months. Earlier, in July and August 2025 (Tir and Mordad 1404), the plant had already claimed the all-time highs for 31-day months.
Industry observers describe the string of achievements as rare on an international scale for a single swing plant, highlighting Arya Sasol’s operational excellence, process innovation, and ability to maintain peak performance under sanctions-constrained conditions.
