{"id":9007,"date":"2023-12-07T14:13:42","date_gmt":"2023-12-07T14:13:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=9007"},"modified":"2023-12-07T14:13:42","modified_gmt":"2023-12-07T14:13:42","slug":"iran-oman-call-for-using-natl-currencies-in-mutual-trade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/9007\/","title":{"rendered":"Iran, Oman call for using nat\u2019l currencies in mutual trade"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\"><p><span class=\"pre-content-text\"><a style=\"color: #0038a8;\" href=\"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/\">RoydadNaft &#8211; <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Iran and Oman have signed two memoranda of understanding to boost bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of using their national currencies in mutual trade instead of the dollar.<\/p>\n<div class=\"item-body\">\n<div class=\"item-text\">\n<p>Iran\u2019s Minister of Industry, Mines and Trade Abbas Aliabadi, and Oman\u2019s Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion Qais Mohammed Al Yousef signed a MoU to support joint investment by the two sides.<\/p>\n<p>The MoU was signed on Wednesday in the Iranian capital Tehran as the two countries held the 20th meeting of their Joint Economic and Trade Cooperation Commission.<\/p>\n<p>Iran\u2019s Ministry of Industry and Oman\u2019s Chamber of Commerce signed a memorandum of understanding to boost cooperation in technology as well.<\/p>\n<p>The Iranian industry minister also announced his country\u2019s readiness to jointly implement key industrial projects with Oman, help in the construction of power plants as well and cooperate in maritime transport projects among others.<\/p>\n<p>The Omani minister on his part emphasized the importance of boosting economic and trade relations between Tehran and Muscat.<\/p>\n<p>He meanwhile stressed the importance of using Iranian and Omani national currencies in mutual trade instead of the dollar as he met with the Head of the Central Bank of Iran Mohammad-Reza Farzin.<\/p>\n<p>The Omani official said that his country wants to have a strong presence in establishing the required infrastructure for banking and monetary transactions in Iran, implementing joint projects, as well as making investments in industrial and mineral projects.
