RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0Iran\u2019s deputy oil minister for international affairs and trade on Thursday said an Iranian knowledge-based company exported various types of catalysts worth some $9 million in the first six month of the current Iranian calendar year (starting March 21, 2023).<\/p>\n

Ahmad Asadzadeh, who made the remarks on the sidelines of the 6th Russian Energy week International Forum in Moscow, added the catalyst exported to Russia in the previous year fetched Iran $8 million.<\/p>\n

Russia participation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Asadzadeh pointed to talks held between Iran\u2019s Oil Minister Javad Owji, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak, and some managers of Russia\u2019s oil and gas sectors, saying the two sides exchanged views on Russia\u2019s participation in development studies of three Iranian oil fields.<\/p>\n

Gas hub talks<\/strong><\/p>\n

Owji held serious talks on Iran\u2019s plan to become a gas hub, said the deputy oil minister, adding negotiations were held in Russia as the two countries\u2019 delegations are exchanging expertise with the aim of putting the creation of a gas hub into action.<\/p>\n

Russia investment in Iran<\/strong><\/p>\n

Some Russian companies voiced their willingness to invest in Iran\u2019s petrochemical sector during Owji\u2019s visit to Moscow, mentioned Asadzadeh.<\/p>\n

Owji and Novak, as the heads of Iran-Russia Joint Economic Commission, met to discuss the topics of the commission\u2019s session in Tehran in November.<\/p>\n

Accompanied by a delegation and Iran\u2019s Ambassador to Moscow Kazem Jalali, Owji arrived in the Russian capital on Wednesday at the invitation of Novak to participate in the 6th Russian Energy Week International Forum.<\/p>\n

He attended the forum\u2019s opening ceremony addressed by Russian President Vladimir Putin on the same day.<\/p>\n

The Iranian oil minister had also a meeting with Russian energy giant Gazprom Alexei Miller and visited some oil and gas companies.<\/p>\n

On Thursday, Owji and his Syrian counterpart Firas Hassan Kaddour held talks and stressed the need for promoting bilateral cooperation in the energy sector.<\/p>\n

During his two-day stay in Moscow, Owji delivered a speech in a specialized session, saying Tehran-Moscow cooperation paves the way for progress of not only the two countries, but also regional states.<\/p>\n

He added \u00a0a historic opportunity has been created for Iran and Russia and the two sides have become closer than ever.<\/p>\n
