RoydadNaft – <\/a><\/span>\u00a0The executive operations of Isfahan Oil Refinery\u2019s Residual Fluid Catalytic Cracking (RFCC) Unit began on Friday.<\/p>\n

The gasoline and propylene project\u2019s operations officially kicked off in the presence of President Seyyed Ebrahim Raeisi and Oil Minister Javad Owji in the central city.<\/p>\n

The unit\u2019s feedstock capacity stands at 91 barrels, over 80 percent of which is supplied by the refinery\u2019s Residue Hydrotreating Unit (RHU) and the rest by light gas oil derived from heavy gas oil and vacuum distillation tower.<\/p>\n

An estimated 1.1-billion-euro investment is needed for implementing the project and its return on investment (ROI) is expected four years after its launch (2029).<\/p>\n

The unit will produce more than 8 million liters of gasoline and 600,000 liters of diesel per day. Liquefied gas will be also produced in the unit and supplied as feedstock to petrochemical plants.<\/p>\n

Project for constructing petrochemical units<\/strong><\/p>\n

The executive operations of a project for building petrochemical units of the refinery also started during the ceremony.<\/p>\n

The units will produce polyether, polyurethane, methyl tertiary-butyl ether (MTBE), bunker fuel, gasoline, and diesel.<\/p>\n

The project is aimed at increasing complexity index, making higher profit, reducing air pollution, increasing added value, creating jobs, and improving Isfahan Province\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n

Investment in feasibility stage has been estimated at 2.3 billion euros and the project\u2019s annual net profit will be more than 25 billion euros.<\/p>\n

Based on plans, its capital turnover will last 18 months.<\/p>\n
