{"id":7622,"date":"2023-09-13T10:54:28","date_gmt":"2023-09-13T10:54:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=7622"},"modified":"2023-09-13T10:54:28","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T10:54:28","slug":"revived-tehran-riyadh-ties-will-be-strong-saudi-envoy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/7622\/","title":{"rendered":"Revived Tehran-Riyadh ties will be strong: Saudi envoy"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\"><p><span class=\"pre-content-text\"><a style=\"color: #0038a8;\" href=\"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/\">RoydadNaft &#8211; <\/a><\/span>Saudi Arabia\u2019s new ambassador to Tehran has expressed his satisfaction with the beginning of a new chapter in his country\u2019s relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, stressing that the revived ties will be strong in all fields, including trade, economy, and investment.<\/p>\n<div class=\"item-body\">\n<div class=\"item-text\">\n<p>Abdullah bin Saud al-Anzi\u00a0made the remarks in an exclusive interview with IRNA late on Tuesday, on the sidelines of a ceremony at the Chinese embassy in Tehran on the 74th anniversary of the founding of the People\u2019s Republic of China.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese relations will be constructive, strong, and based on common interests, mutual respect, and good neighborliness,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>This Saudi diplomat also appreciated the constructive role played by the People\u2019s Republic of China in mediating an agreement on the resumption of relations between Tehran and Riyadh.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that the agreement between Tehran and Riyadh had a great impact on many issues and was met with a positive reaction from the international community.<\/p>\n<p>Al-Anzi also pointed out that Saudi Arabia\u2019s\u00a0King Salman has invited Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi for a visit to Riyadh, voicing hopes that the visit would be made at an appropriate time.<\/p>\n<p>The Saudi ambassador arrived in Tehran on September 5 and submitted a copy of his credentials to Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2023, Iran and Saudi Arabia issued a joint statement in China announcing that they would resume their diplomatic relations after seven years of tensions.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2023-09-13T10:54:28+00:00\"> 13 September 2023<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"RoydadNaft &#8211; Saudi Arabia\u2019s new ambassador to Tehran has expressed his satisfaction with the beginning of a new chapter in his country\u2019s relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran, stressing that the revived ties will be strong in all fields, including trade, economy, and investment.
