{"id":761,"date":"2022-07-19T15:57:18","date_gmt":"2022-07-19T15:57:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/?p=761"},"modified":"2022-07-19T15:57:21","modified_gmt":"2022-07-19T15:57:21","slug":"world-needs-irans-oil-wendy-sherman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/roydadnaft.ir\/English\/761\/","title":{"rendered":"World needs Iran&#8217;s oil: Wendy Sherman"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\" itemprop=\"description\">\n<p>Noting that the nuclear deal is not dead yet, the US Deputy Secretary of State stated that the world needs Iran&#8217;s oil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Negotiations to revive the nuclear have been ongoing since February, with little indication that a new agreement will be reached, but Wendy Sherman believes there\u2019s still a chance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI think there is a very viable agreement and Iran just has to say, \u2018yes\u2019,\u201d Sherman claimed, asserting that&nbsp;it\u2019s in Iran\u2019s best interest to make a deal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sherman made her remarks at a live sit-down interview on July 12 at the International Student House.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The US diplomat went on to repeat the allegations about Iran and claimed, &#8220;They would get sanctions relief. They would improve their economy and sell their oil again and the world needs their oil, so they could get a good price for it. It\u2019s all in their interest to do this, but they\u2019re having a very hard time getting consensus,\u201d she said. \u201cThe European Union, the French, the Germans, the British who have negotiated this deal, along with Russia and China, all want this deal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is while the Iranian foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has repeatedly stated that Iran is serious about reaching a good, strong, and lasting agreement, and if the United States will realistic, an agreement can be reached.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Americans not only have not yet agreed to be adherent to their commitments under the 2015 deal on lifting illegal sanctions on Iran but, contrary to their claims of wanting to reach deal with Iran, they have imposed further unilateral sanctions on the country even though the nuclear talks in Vienna were ongoing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Furthermore, although Iran has repeatedly said that the US must provide guarantees&nbsp;for not withdrawing from the deal again, the US has so far refused to do so.<\/p>\n<div class=\"post-date no-social-btn post-updated\">Updated on<time class=\"updated dt-updated\" itemprop=\"dateModified\" datetime=\"2022-07-19T15:57:21+00:00\"> 19 July 2022<\/time><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Noting that the nuclear deal is not dead yet, the US Deputy Secretary of State stated that the world needs Iran&#8217;s oil.
